Ordering Siemens contactors is one of those tasks that seems simple until you get it wrong. After five years of buying contactors and related control gear for a 120-person facility management company, here's the conclusion I keep coming back to: the Siemens contactor catalog is a decision tool, not a decoration. If you check nothing else before placing an order, check the coil voltage and the auxiliary contact configuration. A $40 ordering mistake can easily become a $600 emergency when you add expedited shipping, a service call, and downtime into the calculation.
